Next weekend Dan from WHIPD will be visiting one of the UK’s biggest classic car events — the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show at the NEC Birmingham.

Held from 20–22 March, the event is a must-visit for anyone passionate about classic cars, restorations and garage culture.

Bringing together thousands of enthusiasts each year, the show is packed with incredible vehicles, restoration projects and specialist traders from across the automotive world.

The NEC show is known for the scale and variety of what’s on display.

It’s a brilliant opportunity to see restoration work happening live and to speak directly with experts and enthusiasts from across the classic car community.

Inspiration for Future WHIPD Creations

For Dan, events like this are not just about admiring beautiful cars — they’re also a huge source of inspiration.

Seeing classic garages, workshop setups and automobilia displays often sparks ideas that later turn into new WHIPD pieces back in the Rossendale workshop.

Recently we’ve been experimenting with laser-engraved stainless steel signage, and the clean industrial style of these pieces fits perfectly with many classic garage spaces.
